Flu-related symptoms

Please don’t come to your in-person appointment if you have flu-related symptoms. You can still get your benefits! Call us at 800 500 6411. We will complete your appointment over the phone or if you prefer, reschedule.

In-Person Appointments

We want you to be able to complete your WIC appointments in a way that works best for you.

Since March of 2020, all American Red Cross WIC appointments have been over the phone. Many participants prefer phone appointments. That is why we will continue to offer those.

Starting in January 2024, you will be able to come to into your office for some appointments. Please talk to your counselor if you want to come for your appointment in person.

Whether you come to the office or complete your appointment over the phone, is your choice.

2 Simple Steps to Prepare for Your Appointment

1. Watch this 30-minute video

Are you enrolling for the first time, or re-enrolling after two years? Then you must watch this 30-minute orientation video before your appointment. If you don’t watch the video before your appointment, we may need to reschedule you.

You can also watch the video in Spanish, or with subtitles in Arabic or Vietnamese.

2. Gather Your Documents

Please have the following documents with you during your in-person appointment. If you don’t have any one of these documents, please keep your appointment. Your counselor will work with you on a solution.

  • Proof of family income (or Medi-Cal number)
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of identification
  • Proof of pregnancy (if applicable)
  • Height/weight/iron results from your healthcare provider, if you have them. Your counselor can also take these during your in-person appointment.

Please don’t come to your in-person appointment if you have flu-related symptoms. You can still get your benefits!

Call us at 800 500 6411 during our opening times. We will complete your appointment over the phone or if you prefer, reschedule.
