Nutrition Support Services

Healthy Foods

Save more than $600 per year while making healthy choices for your family!

  • How it works: You can get $50 – $100 cash value per person for nutritious foods, loaded monthly onto an EBT card and interactive mobile app.
  • What you get: Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, milk, cheese, beans, peanut butter, juice, eggs, infant formula and much more.
  • Why this matters: Adequate nutrition during pregnancy and in the first 5 years of a child’s life is essential for their lifelong development. Your WIC counselor is passionate about making healthy choices easy and fun for your family so that it becomes a lifelong behavior.
  • The details: Each food package is a bit different based on your family’s nutritional needs and dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, lactose intolerant, special formula). You can see more details here.

Breastfeeding and Chestfeeding Support Services

WIC is here to help you with breastfeeding.

  • How it works: Caring counselors help you by phone, video and in-person to prepare before baby is born, and offer support once baby arrives.
  • What you get: You can get WIC’s largest postpartum food package, prenatal classes, breast pump assistance, and personalized breastfeeding support.
If you’d also like after-hours breastfeeding advice, practical tips from other breastfeeding moms and access to a lactation consultant, please reach out about our breastfeeding peer counseling services
  • Why this matters: The more breastmilk your baby gets, the healthier their body and brain will be for the rest of their life. Think protection from asthma, allergies, diabetes and obesity. Breastfeeding also lowers your risk of postpartum depression, some cancers and diabetes. Plus, it helps you lose baby weight and build a close bond with your baby.
  • The details: Do you have questions about feeding your baby? Our counselors are available Monday – Friday. Just give us a call!
