Shop at your neighborhood Farmers Market

Did you get your $30 checks? Shop at your

neighborhood Farmers Market by November 30 to buy fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables with your family.

About WIC Farmers Market Checks

Every year, eligible American Red Cross WIC families can receive a special $30 check booklet to purchase fruits, vegetables and herbs from local farmers markets. The farmers market checks may be used in addition to your monthly fruits and vegetable benefits in Summer 2024.

How do I use my checks?

  1. Visit one of the farmers markets under “Where can I use my farmers market checks?” below.
  2. Look for a booth with a sign that says they accept WIC, like this one:
  3. Choose your fruits, vegetables and herbs. Pay with your check(s).
  4. Remember:
    1. You have to spend an entire $10 check with one farmer.
    2. Farmers cannot give back change.
    3. If you spend more than your check amount, you can pay the rest with whatever form of payment the farmer accepts.
  5. You may visit any of the farmers markets on this list and use the rest of your checks by November 30. The farmers market info booths can tell you who accepts WIC checks.
