About WIC Farmers Market Checks

Every year, eligible American Red Cross WIC families can receive a special $30 check booklet to purchase fruits, vegetables and herbs from local farmers markets. The farmers market checks may be used in addition to your monthly fruits and vegetable benefits.

How do I get my farmers market checks?

Families with currently certified American Red Cross WIC participants (women, infants 6 months of age or older and children through the month of their 5th birthday).

We are out of farmers market checks for this year. We are glad you are interested in our WIC Farmers Market Program.

We receive a limited supply of farmers market checks each year. We hope to offer these checks again beginning July 2024.

You CAN buy fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and cut edible herbs.

You CANNOT buy honey, eggs, milk, cheese, nuts, meat, fish, flowers, plants, baked goods or processed foods.
